The May, 2008 version of the Avon-ISI models database contains the following changes from the database installed with the 3.24H software version on this web page:

The manufacturer name was changed to Avon-ISI on all existing models.
Tolerances were tightened for some tests on many existing models.
The 3-year Carbon Cylinders were removed.
The Viking 2216 and Viking 4500 models were removed.
Several Facemask models were added.
Viking Pneumatic, DX, DXL, and Z Seven models were added.
Z3000 and Z3100 models were added.

Because the tolerances were tightened on some tests, this may mean that a breathing apparatus that passed last year may fail this year, even if the recorded pressure for the test is exactly the same as last year.

Because the manufacturer name was changed on every existing model, after the models database is updated, you will be required to update every serial number before you will be able to test it.  The procedure is fairly simple, and you can read about it in detail in the Help File, under the "Edit Model" help topic.

The procedure is as follows:
1.  In the Avon-ISI PosiChek software, use the main menu item View --> Apparatus.
2.  Select a serial number that has not been changed yet.  (Select it by clicking to the left of the first column so that the whole row appears highlighted.)
3.  Click the Actions button and click View Selected.
4.  Click the Actions button again and click Edit... Model.
5.  On the Edit Model screen, select the appropriate model from the list by clicking on it.
6.  Make sure you check the "Change All Serial Numbers..." checkbox.
7.  It is NOT recommended that you click the "Change All Tests..." checkbox, because the existing tests were performed under the old model tolerances.

Repeat this process for each different type of model that you test.  Many locations will only use 2 or 3 different models, so this process will go quickly.

If you have any serial numbers entered as 3-year Carbon Cylinders, they should be changed to the corresponding 5-year model.
If you have any serial numbers entered as Viking 2216 or 4500, they should be changed to Viking 2216 or 4500 Pneumatic.
If you have any serial numbers entered as Facemask w/Airswitch, they should be changed to the appropriate Airswitch Facemask model.
